President | Alabama Dietetic Association | - | A management company was hired to run the affiliates' business during my tenure. I presided over all the meetings and conducted the business of AlDA with the Executive Board. I also served as President - Elect and as Chair of Continuing Education for three years which afforded me the opportunity to observe and participate in the work of the Board. | |
Chair | NEP DPG | - | Developed the Program of Work, facilitated the FNCE session on Health Literacy with an MD from Vanderbilt School of Medicine. We setup a booth in the Exhibit Hall. I chaired all business sessions for the year and worked with Susan Dupraw, who was the DPG Manager, the Executive Board and the officers to implement the POW. I corresponded with the DPG members as needed. We worked with the editors to get publish the newsletter in a timely manner. I represented the DPG at the first Leadership Institute that was held in Arizona. | |

I partnered with the Dominican University to start an approved ISPP program for qualified Cooperative Service nutritionist to participate in a dietetic internship as a pathway to sit for the exam. What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
Campaign Statement
I have served at the district, state and national level. I have worked in clinical, community and at universities. I am a Professor of Nutrition and Dietetics and serve as the Nutritionist for Endowments in Extension FCS. I facilitate an ISPP for Extension staff with Dominican University.
