Serving as the Chair of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Student Council Advisory Committee, I was able to engage student members and respond to areas of concern. Learning how to communicate with others across the country was invaluable to ensure each member had a voice on the national platform. Currently, as the Texas Academy Director At-Large District Presidents Council, I have oversee fifteen different districts in Texas to address concerns and issues at the grassroots level. |

What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
It is so exciting to see the field of nutrition and dietetics unfold at our fingertips. The career paths young members are seeking provide hope and inspiration for what is yet to come. Bringing nutrition to the forefront on the playing field, in school cafeterias, on the plate, and through the aisles of the grocery store; the opportunities are endless. I am proud to stand with a generation of young individuals who will continue to unlock doors to promote and elevate the RDN.
