Nominating Committee National Leader |
|
In 2014 I finished 9 years as media spokesperson for the Academy. This connected me to RDNs across the country. Through this network and other opportunities as a spokesperson, I was introduced to many outstanding RDNs and members of the Academy. Through my experience and training as president-elect, and now president of the Michigan affiliate, I continue to meet Academy members across the country. As a strategic-thinker I am proud of the work I have done for our 23,000 employees at Henry Ford Health System and I look forward to utilizing my skills to find outstanding leaders for the Academy. |

What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
I am most excited about the number of opportunities RDNs have to put their nutrition expertise to work. While clinical and foodservice work is where the majority of RDNs are employed, the imagination, creativity and drive of our members has opened up all types of industry that would not have considered RDNs a few decades ago. Nutrition is regularly identified as a growing field and I want to make sure that RDNs are recognized as the nutrition experts who should be getting these positions.
Campaign Statement
Let me put my 25 years of experience to work for you. The RDN is the nutrition expert and should be represented in industry everywhere. I am committed to promoting the RDN as the nutrition expert.
