I bring a broad range of skills to this position that highlight the varied functions of a DTR. I have been teaching nutrition and present food allergy workshop to schools foodservice staff for certification of food allergy training. I have developed a training module for FCP DPG. I teach cooking classes for school aged children as well as adults. Media work I do a cooking show on local community television and have authored a cookbook that is sold online as well as in local stores. I bring teaching, cooking, public speaking skills to this position. I am a self-starter that works well in a group as well as independently. I believe that it's important to work for a common goal to the best of my abilities. I strive to complete any project or role for which I am tasked. I believe as a Representative on this Council I can make valuable contributions to the goals set and offer expertise in setting educational criteria for the DTR practitioner. |

Campaign Statement
Having had experience in teaching, writing a cookbook, developing training material, cooking and nutrition counseling has given me a broad background in the practice of nutrition. I feel I would contribute valuable perspectives. I value and respect each group member's input and ideas.
