I am an active duty Air Force DTR with 16 years of experience and have worked in clinical and community nutrition, food service management, and subsistence control. I have also worked as a quality assurance and credential manager for a Medical Home model clinic where I conducted internal inspections for 22 clinics, readied all for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care survey, military health inspections, and verified medical provider's credentials/training. I am very proficient at learning new regulations, applying them, and ensuring processes are in place to meet the requirements. |

Delegate At-Large, Diet Technician | House of Delegate | - | As the Delegate At-Large for Diet Technicians, I created a professional, group-communication platform specifically for DTRs that allowed members to receive information relating to the House of Delegates (HOD) and encouraged networking and productive communication. This venue has saved time and members received HOD and Academy messages in a timely manner, and will be available for future At-Large Delegates. | |
Membership Data Coordinator | American Overseas Dietetic Association | - | In this position, I managed over 900 member's data. I knew I needed to become more efficient so I proactively looked for training that could help me. I took advanced Excel classes and learned quicker ways to compile larger reports. I best contribution I made was the instructions on how to run the reports for the incoming coordinator. |
What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
