This diverse group of nutrition experts is uniquely positioned to positively impact national & international nutrition including enhancing food safety & sustainability, preventing chronic disease, eliminating malnutrition, & conducting & translating science-based research. Dietetic professionals must embrace the opportunity to gain respect, recognition & increase compensation by interdisciplinary positioning, expanding professional diversity, & using technology to enhance communication with the public, colleagues, & legislators.
I am eager to apply my HOD experience & leadership ability to resolve professional issues including expanding diversity, increasing compensation, promoting advocacy & interdisciplinary respect and using technology to communicate with stakeholders.
