I have promoted positive change related to the role of the dietitian in order writing, feeding tube placement and involvement in outcomes research. These initiatives have led to policy changes due to the demonstrated improved outcomes. I served on the CFP for 4 years, including 2 years as chair. I was an author of the Visioning Report which was one source to inform the current Academy strategic plan. Dietitians are key to overcoming the burden of chronic disease, including malnutrition. I have worked to improve the identification, diagnosis and coding of malnutrition. |
