What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
My response focuses on DTR's. However, this is also true for RD's. Today’s client trend is overwhelmingly for preventive health. As professionals, we often focus on what we cannot handle rather than what we CAN achieve. Opportunities for the DTR can include many careers that are within their scope of practice. Creativity is key to finding the DTR’s specialty with today's trends. RD’s with a larger scope of practice can also be resourceful in finding their special niche for prevention and beyond.
