(1) Introduced board self-assessments to improve leadership. Led GPCI board to achieve NCCA accreditation in 1 year. Built robust governance structure for a board with capital grant (2) Expanded nutrition programs from 1 to 7 sites & clients from 1000 to 24,000. Fight malnutrition globally with MNT. (3) Brought in over $200 million to the hospital & $20 million on a board to operate new programs & generate revenue. (4) Started a diversity scholarship that led to 25 diverse grant people. Introduced the board self assessment, working with UC, Berkeley and BoardSource to increase board accountability and improve governance. I serve in a "synthesizer role", contributing to the advancement of the board's work in an experiential way. I have had the good fortune to hold key leadership roles in my career. My vision for our profession's future is to continue to increase recognition and value. We must leverage and stay current with technological advancements such as AI; lead the dialogue toward its prospects for value creation & value processing while understanding its impact. We must lead new trends in MNT, Food/ Nutrition and set the stage for collaboration. We must create pathways for leadership in all areas, including unconventional roles to influence policy. We must be intentional in creating diversity & being inclusive.
