Electronics Communications Chair School Nutrition Services Dietetic Practice Group - Develop and maintain the new website for the School Nutrition Services Dietetic Practice Group. Started the electronics communication eblast system for the School Nutrition Services Practice Group and send out the eblasts. Started the RSS feed for the Practice Group.
Newsletter Editor School Nutrition Services Dietetic Practice Group - When I started as Newsletter Editor for the School Nutrition Services Dietetic Practice Group the newsletter was 4 pages long. After 1 year, I increased the size of the newsletter to 8 pages and added recurring sections such as Hot Topics, Resources, Legislative News and Wellness.
Task Force on New School Nutrition Regulations School Nutrition Association - Served on the Task Force for the School Nutrition Association responsible for writing the School Nutrition Association's response to the proposed new regulations for the National School Lunch Program.
Speaker for Child and Adolescent Weight Management Certificate Program Commission on Dietetic Registration - Helped to educate Registered Dietitians about the role the School Nutrition Program plays in the Childhood and Adolescent Obesity crisis. Focused on the key role Dietitians play in the School Nutrition Program.
Georgia Department of Education Task Force on Nutrition Standards for School Nutrition Georgia Department of Education - School Nutrition Program - Helped shape the new competitive food regulations for food served or sold in school systems in Georgia.

Don't let Donna Martin's southern charm fool you...she will do what it takes to get the job done! Thinking outside the box is her specialty! Who else would think to feed children out of 16 school buses that cover the rural county where she works during the summer?
