The nutrition and dietetics profession is considerably evolving, along with the role of the registered dietitian nutritionist. Contemporary RD practitioners possess the skills required to lead interdisciplinary health care teams and to direct initiatives to design, develop, and evaluate nutrition care systems or protocols. Yet, registered dietitians are not always designated to lead these efforts. The sky is the limit. My vision is to help us reach our common goal of growth as a profession driven by academic research, innovation, equity and integrity.
Being part of an organization is about putting together the puzzle pieces to achieve a common goal. I strive to be part of the growth and advancement of our profession and, if given the opportunity, will bring dedication and enthusiasm to the table.
