1. Visioning change: As Academy Treasurer, I worked to encourage change, build consensus, and implemented new ways of working. As an Entrepreneur, I understood where the healthcare industry was headed and launched a business that encompasses coordinated care with nutrition as the cornerstone. 2. Mobilizing for change: Took on the county school board about nontransparent decisions, energized the community, made alliances, and won. 3. Implementing change: Attention to detail, building teams, and knowing what to do and when and what to delegate. 4. My company is a testament to IDEA principles. |

What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
As a CEO of a primary care practice, I see on a daily basis the importance and need for increasing the sphere of influence of the nutrition professional. Collaborating with key stakeholders to position RDN’s as the go-to nutrition expert is imperative. In addition, leveraging technology and data to support advancement in the treatment and prevention of malnutrition, obesity, and chronic disease with improved access to nutrition services by expanding reimbursement.
