Past Chairperson | Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation | 2020 - 2021 | Led the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation Nominating Committee through the process of identifying and vetting candidates for the slate with an intentional focus on diversity, inclusion, and equity. Analyzed the Foundation board composition for gaps and identified/nominated diverse candidates to ensure a specialized pathway opportunity to high-level leadership. Supported and promoted the Diversity and Inclusion Fellow funded to overcome obstacles to recruitment, education, and advancement. Active participant in the development of the new Foundation Strategic Plan. |

Secured 100% Academy Foundation Board participation in Second Century donations during my year as Chairperson. Assisted in developing the Academy's Corporate Sponsorship Program Guiding Principles and tested the process, which was later adopted. Exhibited self-confidence and leadership by challenging the thought process around a significant sponsorship proposal of a non-traditional company. Secured a single $25,000 scholarship fund through Academy member engagement. Elected by the Academy Foundation Board for the one-year position of Secretary. |

Increased member engagement (25%) and promoted diversity by coordinating the DBC 2013 FNCE Networking Breakfast with Hattie Hill, global diversity, inclusion, and gender equity pioneer, as the keynote speaker (120+ attendees). Planned, secured, and coordinated the DBC Spotlight Session, “Ask, Anchor and Close: Negotiating Your True Market Value,” session at the Academy's FNCE to educate FNCE attendees on workforce value and negotiation skills. |
Council Chairperson | YMCA | 2018 - 2022 | Organized and directed as Campaign Chairperson, the YMCA Annual Campaign raising over $ 235,000 for community scholarships. Selected as 2018 Volunteer of the Year for my contributions as Annual Campaign Chair. As YMCA Council Chairperson, I guided the leadership team on the nomination process with an intentional focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Chaired facilities maintenance committee and gained alignment from committee members on prioritizing and renovating two YMCA locations. Created policies for inclusion and equity as a YMCA Greater Oklahoma DEI Committee member. |
