|
1. I serve on 4 department committees at work. To be effective, I consistently seek out feedback so that various perspectives are represented. 2. One recent example occurred when I solicited input on service unit compliance and then utilized the information to develop a proposal that satisfied business needs while streamlining the process for staff. 3. I stay updated on big and small issues currently impacting the profession by staying engaged within the larger dietetic community. 4. I encourage and promote EDI principles and access during the recruiting and hiring process of new diet techs. |

What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
Relevant. Credible. Adaptive. In today’s quickly evolving landscape, anyone with high-speed internet and a social media presence can appear as a nutrition professional. The market feels muddied and oversaturated. As dietetics professionals, being relevant, credible, and adaptive is critical to effectively responding to emerging trends and ultimately increasing the visibility and value of our credentialed expertise.
