1. President of the Academy2016-17 2.During my Presidency, planned & presided over the Nutrition Impact Summit which brought together >175 thought leaders in food, wellness, &health care systems. Summit identified potential projects & strategic partners in the U.S. & worldwide.Outcomes were the foundation of strategic planning process for the 2nd Century. Strategic plan developed in March 2017 during my Presidency. 3.First President to use social media, as well as multiple videos as successful communication tools to reach members. Effective team player with proven leadership ability. |

Outreach: Spoke at the United Nations, 2nd International Day of Women and Girls in Science: From Vision to Action (February 17,2017). Received heralded acclaim for my message (“Nutrition is a Science; Nutrition is not a Fad”) by members of the Academy and the UN. Appointed the greatest number of diverse individuals for Academy committees and liaison appointments, as well as for national collaborations |

What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
I have always had courage to stand up for what I believe in & respect people who do the same If I am selected to serve on the Nominating committee I will seek individuals that also have courage, passion, & a philosophy of honesty, fairness, inclusion.
