My top strengths/skills that make me the ideal candidate are communication, integrity, and inclusion. With 22 years of clinical and teaching experience, as a fervent advocate for health technology, diabetes, and weight-inclusive education in dietetics, patient-centered care, and cultural humility, I believe I am an excellent fit for the NDEP South Central Regional Director position. I would be honored to serve in this role. I aim to build stronger relationships and partnerships within and outside of NDEP. Dietetics students are the future of our profession, and I want to help them become more involved in NDEP and other DPGs. I can foster more student involvement in NDEP and increase collaboration across DPGs to expand the reach of NDEP.

Diabetes DPG	Diabetes Technology Coordinator	2020-present	Continuously update the website with the latest news on diabetes technology, resources, product safety alerts, recalls, and more. Author of several articles for the Newsflash and Cutting Edge Nutrition and Diabetes Care publications. Recruit student authors. Attend diabetes technology meetings and conferences.
ACEND	Lead Site Reviewer	2013-2017 and 2023-present	Attend and lead site reviews of dietetics education programs across the US on behalf of ACEND. Participate in ACEND trainings and Site Visit Meetings. Author and prepare Site Visit Reports, collaborate with team members, and present findings to key stakeholders at Site Visits.
Eastern Illinois Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics	President, President-Elect, Nominating Chair	2003-2024	Plan and lead professional meetings, workshops, and social gatherings for RDN members and students.
