Personal and Campaign Statements
The nutrition and dietetics profession is at a pivotal moment. Precision nutrition, digital health innovations, and artificial intelligence are transforming practice, while food insecurity, climate change, and the growing burden of chronic diseases demand that we lead with evidence-based, equitable, and community-informed solutions. Opportunities exist for our profession to expand its impact by applying precision nutrition across diverse populations, integrating digital health tools to broaden access, and responsibly exploring artificial intelligence to enhance dietary assessment and personalized care. We can also address food insecurity and sustainability through policy and advocacy, while advancing interdisciplinary collaborations to reduce chronic disease risk. As a member of the Nominating Committee, I will help identify and support leaders who are prepared to innovate, elevate our profession, and champion the relevance of nutrition and dietetics in every setting where food and health intersect.
I am committed to supporting the Academy by identifying leaders who reflect the diversity, forward-thinking, and collaboration needed to advance our profession. My experience in community nutrition research, national leadership, and mentoring the next generation of nutrition professionals gives me a perspective that bridges research, practice, and community impact. I look forward to contributing to the Nominating Committee’s vital role in shaping the Academy’s future leadership.
