Since 2011, Libby’s reached millions of consumers with on-trend, evidence-based information on global and local food systems through her radio show/podcast. She regularly promotes the work of dietitians, supports Academy campaigns like National Nutrition Month, Kids Eat Right and Nutrition Spotlight on Malnutrition and brings attention to global issues, food systems, family life and culinary traditions.
Libby’s committed to making international perspectives part of her work to empower sustainable food choices for personal, community and ecological health and well-being.

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics | Speaker: Historical Perspective of Modern Craft Beers & Their Sustainable Role in Healthy Kitchens | 2019 | Using her experience planning and participating in the Food and Culinary Professionals DPG 2001 FNCE Food and Beer Pairing event and brewing craft beer, Libby presented original research and material promoting healthy cooking using the trendy ingredient craft beer. Later, Libby presented this topic for the MacDonald Center for Obesity Prevention and Education, Villanova University, Nutrition Future Forward Conference in 2020. Libby continues to work on a recipe collection and book on the subject. |
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics | Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year | 1998 Young Dietitian of the Year | Libby was recognized for her service to the profession of dietetics, support of registered dietitians and community impact. She 1) served as president/chair for St. Louis Dietetic Association, 2) regularly wrote for Suburban Journals, 3) conducted monthly community cooking classes, 4) managed professional volunteer committees of registered dietitians, doctors and nurses, and 5) oversaw the creation, development and provision of health education programs and conferences. She frequently collaborated with commodity groups, companies, hospitals and medical providers, and community groups. In addition, she had begun honing her media expertise. Libby planned and conducted a multi-professional book signing for Roberta Duyff's first publication of the American Dietetic Association Complete Food and Nutrition Guide. |
American Heart Association - Whitaker Foundation | $25,000 Grant | 1999 | This grant funded the placement of heart healthy education kits in schools across the St. Louis Missouri area. |
Restarurant Festival Live Chef Cookoff Competition | Best Chef in Chester County Placed Second | 2013 | Libby was a known cook, recipe developer, recipe analyst and newsletter writer for a 500 calorie or less restaurant and host of her community radio show Libby's Luncheonette. Libby was able to further her support of local restaurants, chefs, residents and the community with her participation. She developed original recipes in 3 categories-- appetizers, main dish and dessert, prepared and plated dishes live. She placed second. |
