I personally hold two advanced certifications in my professional area of practice due to a strong drive to continuously expand my knowledge and experience, which, in turn, improves patient safety and elevates professional practice. My professional background is diverse and encompasses a variety of practice settings and diverse populations, which has provided opportunities to become an advanced practitioner. I volunteer for professional organizations, due to my commitment to standard setting to protect the public thru continuing education and standards of practice. |

As an advanced practitioner in clinical nutrition, I continuously seek opportunities to elevate the level of practice to position the RD/RDN as the clinical and management expert to positively impact patients. I focus on professional knowledge and skill development that expand the scope of practice and responsibilities, which in turn positively improves patient outcomes. As a potential member of the CDR, I hope to be a part of the process of promoting credentialing requirements of the profession to strategically position the RD/RDN as experts in nutrition and as transformative leaders.
