Have grown a network of peers from research, higher education, leadership, and service to the dietetics profession in over 25 years of experience. Previously served as Chair of Research DPG and other service roles in the Academy to support the core mission to promote evidence-based dietetics practice. Having chaired the DGA subcommittee and from giving regular presentations of the complex material during public meetings demonstrates skills to convey priorities, as well as efforts to promote a health equity lens in the body of work. |

Dietary Guidelines Advisory Committee - Committee Member & Food Pattern Modeling Subcommittee Chair | Department of Health and Human Services and US Department of Agriculture | 2024 - 2023 | Chaired the subcommittee that developed the analyses of food pattern modeling to develop and test the USDA Dietary Pattern for the 2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans. As a member of Subcommittee 1, worked on teams to evaluate scientific evidence through systematic reviews of the published scientific literature to answer specific questions linked to dietary components and health outcomes. |

This is a pivotal time in our profession with a shifting healthcare environment and a changing structure of our education paradigms. We need to be strategic about forging a path that is based upon sound evidence and highlights the value we offer.
