Leadership Experience
Leadership Position | Organization | Years Involved in the Organization | My specific leadership contributions, achievements and outcomes: |
Chair | MFNS DPG | 2018 - 2019 | As chair, I was able to support high-performing teams. We introduced SMART goals and strategies to promote membership growth. Our team fostered innovation, including how we supported the educational needs of our members. We used membership and past-chair surveys/feedback to support our vision. Our team was highly engaged, supported a functional budget, enhanced resources for members, and supported the Academy vision throughout. Our Committee also collaborated with other DPGs to promote education. |
Treasurer | MFNS DPG | 2015 - 2017 | As treasurer, I worked with our leadership to promote growth in membership, services, and a balanced budget. We were able to strategically use funds to support the Academy’s vision, promote membership resources, support scholarship/awards, and to reinvest in our group. We were able to grow our website, enhance resources for our members, enhance education and collaboration, and focus on the future health of our DPG. |
Secretary | MFNS DPG | 2020 - 2022 | As Secretary, I not only supported the organizational and repository needs of our Committee, I served as a voice to our team. As a Director of PI, I was able to engage members with a PI mindset as we created our vision and goals. I embraced the high functioning team I was on, and we leveraged the diversity/skills we had to meet membership needs. During my time as Secretary, I was a speaker at FNCE, my second time serving as a speaker to our members. |
Personal and Campaign Statements
As a professional in Quality and Performance Improvement, I am very familiar with identifying trends, collaborating with key stakeholders to create visions, and leading change. I observe and elicit feedback to drive change. I believe those that do the work should be involved in the process. Our member feedback, engagement, and involvement are essential for growth. We must leverage the diversity within our professions to make us stronger. With so many changes in our landscape, we also need to foster innovation and technologies to help us grow.
As Treasurer-Elect, I will serve the Academy by leveraging my well-rounded dietetic and performance improvement background. Diverse teams create the strongest teams. I will promote a high-performance mindset and will ensure fiscal responsibility.
