1. My work in communications/PR and HP education in particular, as well as my volunteer involvement through the Academy, has connected me with dietitians with varying backgrounds across the country. 2. My work with FCP in leading the DPG as chair managing members' wants with realities of budget and volunteer time 3. My work in PR and communication, working with clients, researchers and USDA allowed me to hone these skills in developing communications plans for accounts I represented. 4. There are endless opportunities for RDNs to be known as the leaders in nutrition if we insert ourselves into conversations at all levels - from social media to allied health organizations to government.
