Student Nutrition Club (University of New Mexico) | President | 1 year | As the president, I was able to get our club added to official university clubs providing us with an office to meet and scholarships for the officers to attend FNCE. Also, during that year, our club put together a National Nutrition Month Health Fair started in 2011 and was still active up until 2019. Our members assisted in finding local businesses to come out and promote health for one day during the month of March. That year we had two major health clubs, wellness centers, natural grocers, dairy council, mental health counselors, and had an "Ask the Dietitian" booth all in attendance. Through university funding, we are also able to purchase breakfast and lunch items that we were able to give out to individuals in attendance of the health fair. |
Honor's Society (Kappa Omicron Nu) | Vice President | 1 year | Assisted in formulating opportunities for our members to volunteer within our community and on campus. |
