Dayton Children's Hospital | Intermediate Quality Improvement Course (IQIC) Coach | May 2023-Present | IQIC is a 9 month professional development course which gives a practical foundation in the Model for Improvement. Participants apply with a project proposal and spend their time learning the principles, tools, and leadership skills to begin and continue a quality improvement initiative in their area of practice. After completing this course, I was asked to continue forward as a coach for subsequent partricipants. As a coach, I contribute in the following way: - Serve as a mentor to 1-3 participants currently going through the course. - Ensure the participants understand the tools and materials, talk through sticking points, and provide advice as needed. - Participate in small group discussions about individual projects at each class - Provide feedback to the mentorship group on class format, topics, and individual participant projects |
Dayton Children's Hospital | Worksite Wellness Task Force, Physical Wellness Co-Chair | February 2022-September 2022 | Dayton Children's undertook a large overhaul of our wellness and insurance benefits through this ad-hoc task force. I was asked to co-chair the physical wellness pilar, which encompassed all benefits outside of the medical plans offered that related to well being of the physical body. During this time I contributed in the following ways - Organized discussion and plan around a holistic way to seek input from employees from all areas of the hospital. - Co-lead focus groups specifically with Dietary and Housekeeping staff, who often have different needs and communication modalities than traditional shift workers or desk workers - Gathered descriptive data of feedback obtained by committee members - Lead discussions to parse the data into themes with associated actionable recommendations to return to senior leaders. |
Cincinnati Rollergirls | Development Director | August 2022-December2023 | The Cincinnati Rollergirls is a competitive roller derby league in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been a player and served various leadership roles for the previous 10 years. Most recently, I was voted in as Development Director to serve the remainder of a vacated term. During this time I contributed in the following ways: - Developed a meeting template and cadence, which is still in use - Developed and implemented a strategic plan to leverage monetary asks and volunteerism to secure additional funding outside of normal league revenue streams. - Managed season sponsors including authoring and securing contracts, fulfilling requests for tickets, merchandise, and marketing as stipulated in the contracts - Secure future ongoing relationships with community and strategic partners. |

Dayton Children's Hospital | Cybersecurity Challenge Coin | 2022 | I collaborated closely with our cybersecurity team to develop a plain language guide on handling files including patient data for clinicians in the Clinical Nutrition & Lactation Department. During this time I also was able to help revise and clarify language related to institutional policy from the perspective of the data novice. This award represented the first time this honor was given outside of the Cybersecurity Department. |
