University of Texas Medical Branch | President’s Cabinet Award - St. Vincent’s H.O.P.E Garden Initiative, | 2021-2023 | I collaborated with two departmental faculty and RDs to build, improve and maintain the productivity of a community garden to enhance the food experience of underserved patrons seeking care at this community clinic . Additionally, we were able to develop a new education and service program in collaboration with the community clinic that teaches and trains future RDs on the importance of assessing food insecurity in the community. This project also expanded the interprofessional collaboration opportunities for our students. |
