Personal and Campaign Statements
I will be honored to serve as a Director-at-Large on the Board of Directors for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as I have the skills, prior experience, and leadership acumen to promote the four cornerstones of the Academy's mission and vision. As nutrition professionals, we can never overemphasize the importance of healthy nutrition for both the prevention and treatment of disease states, which can be achieved through our education, research, and outreach efforts. It is also the need of the hour to address food insecurity, and diversity, equity and inclusion in the nutrition workforce.
I have been a member of the Academy since 2008, and have served in various leadership roles for NEP DPG and RDPG since 2018. I feel prepared and excited to now run for the Director-at-Large position in the 2025 Academy elections!!
