As a business owner, I increased revenue by 230%, managing over $700,000 annually . 4. Encouraged donations to support future dietitians and completed a Personal Service Plan during my tenure. The impact of my time on the Board led me to develop a scholarship for future practitioners serving the elderly population which is now available. |
Chair, ANDPAC | Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics | 2011 - 2011 | In my role as Chair of ANDPAC, I worked with the Board and staff in Advocacy to support the Legislative and Public Policy Committee's agenda, educated members of the Academy on the importance of being active in advocacy efforts to educate the key legislators about the importance of the Registered Dietitian. |

What do you see as opportunities for the future of the nutrition and dietetics profession?
As a business owner, I have maintained an attitude of opportunity for the dietetic profession. As we increase recognition, it will be critical to maintain ownership of our abilities to be science-based nutrition experts and educate all about our value and abilities to help people thrive through the transformative power of food and nutrition, with a responsibility to move the profession forward for the future.

Diverse leadership experience at the Academy partnered with my career experience in operations and financial areas has positioned me to provide expertise as I work with the Board of Directors supporting implementation of the Strategic Plan.
