1. I had the unique opportunity to serve on 3 boards. American Diabetes Association ( ADA National), National Lipid Association ( Northeast chapter) and New York Heart Association. 2. These positions included selecting national leaders for ADA, educating and mentoring members, serving communities and discussing with law makers that nutrition is a critical component of overall health. 3. My experience in research, advocacy and communications, professional development and developing opportunities for global health will help accelerate the Academy’s Strategic Plan |

Continue to increase awareness of malnutrition in hospitalized and nursing home patients and provide solutions 4.Use evidence-based nutrition recommendations to prevent chronic disease and be able to impact health care expenditure 5. Be active in policy making to keep America nourished and healthy
